Whack Job of the Week
Fred Phelps Sr.

Fred Phelps was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Meridian, Mississippi. Graduated Meridian High at 16 with highest academic honors, American Legion Citizenship Award, track letter, Bausch-Lomb Science Award, Eagle Scout, Principal Appointment to West Point Military Academy. The summer following graduation, he had a profound religious experience, gave up West Point, enrolled instead for Bible/ministerial training at Bob Jones College, Cleveland, Tennessee (later moving with them as they transitioned to Bob Jones University, Greenville, South Carolina). Ordained by the Southern Baptists Sept. 8, 1947. Met his wife, Margie M. Phelps, in 1951 while preaching at the Arizona Bible Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Their marriage May 15, 1952 has been blessed of God with 13 children, 54 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Has served as Pastor of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, since Nov. 1955. WBC has conducted more than 22,000 picketing demonstrations across America and some foreign countries during the past 12 years -- aimed at showing Americans their transgression and causing America to know her abominations.
Fred Phelps and his extended family/gathering have been lately going to Military Servicemen/women to protest there funerals after there bodies come back from the war. Phelps runs on this idea that gays are in the military and gays are the reason for there death of the military person. He and about 50 of his following protest these funerals and other events related to his obscure philosophy all around the counrty.

Patriotic Thunder admits the first amendment should be protected, however, the exploit of the first amendment for you personal demonic damnation of the United States at fallen soldiers funerals is absolutely where it you got to draw a line. I mean what kind of scum recruits there own grand-children in doing something like this?

Thank goodness Mike Rogers (R) Congressman out of Michigan got a bill through legislature putting heavy fines protesting at military funerals. The Respect for America’s Fallen Heroes Act is an Act of Congress, enacted on May 29, 2006. It prohibits protests within 300 feet of the entrance of a cemetery under control of the National Cemetary Administration (a division of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs) from 60 minutes before to 60 minutes after a funeral. Penalties for violating the act are up to $100,000 in fines and up to one year imprisonment. A motorcycle group called the Patriot Guard formed in response to Fred Phelps protests to battle the protestors and greet the family of the fallen with flags and support and there depicted on the troop of the week page, Click Here.

Much like the Islamic Fascists that plague the United States, Fred Phelps takes any tragedy to America and takes some bible versus and conjures up something provocative to spread his propaganda.

Fred Phelps you and your hate mongering following earned this Wack Job of the week page dedicated to you, keep having babies to support your ludicrous claims against our Military and the United States. By the way, Sean Hannity explained it well while describing one of your hate leaflets on Fox News.
