Rob's Column (Who's Patriotic? Talk Radio or Congress)

These days we as a nation have become more volatile than the 1960's hippie revolution when it comes to politics. Not much is ever said about the Talk Radio jockeys that infest our hearts and minds with current news and the daily politics. Forty million listeners are tuned into what the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity or Neal Boortz say on the radio on a daily basis. When the Immigration Reform Act of 2007 was introduced by Congress and backed by our President, talk jocks like these guys went on a rampage calling for the people of this great nation to flood Congress with your voices. It worked, it actually went so far as shutting down the phone system at the White House and Congress with the deluge of calls and emails. To say Talk Jockeys don't have as much power as Congress may be an understatement in itself.

The past couple weeks, Congressional Democrats have decided to take on Talk Radio. The Godfather of Talk Radio Rush Limbaugh pictured on the left behind the Golden E.I.B. microphone is enemy #1. Approximately two weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh was informing his great listeners about a so-called soldier who the Democrats put up as a poster child, one Jesse MacBeth. Please read last weeks column here that showcases this dirt bag of an individual. In doing so, Rush Limbaugh called him a "phony soldier". Well, let the fireworks explode, because the Democrats spun those two words to the world using all available media outlets to say, "Rush Limbaugh is calling any soldier who disagrees with this war as a Phony Soldier".

If this was poker, one might say, that was a nice hand by the Democrats. However, the Democrats failed to realize that Rush Limbaugh talks to 20 million listeners on talk radio everyday, and they do listen to exactly how he says something. Rush Limbaugh was referring to this piece of scum and the others we showed on this website that are truly "phony soldiers", not as the Democrats would say, calling all soldiers phony who disagree with the war. The Democrats took something out of context and used it to portray some type of patriotism to the people of the United States. Sorry Democrats, were not buying it, you can't attack a patriotic civilian and hope that the people will believe you are patriotic in the process. It doesn't work like that.

Apparently the Democrats were just getting warmed up. 41 Democrat Senators signed a Congressional letter to Mark Mays of Clear Channel Communications who is Rush Limbaugh's broadcast partner asking for Rush Limbaugh to publicly apologize for his words (phony soldiers). Rush apologized alright, he said, "I apologize for our Congressional leaders not being patriotic to our troops and for undermining this war on terror". Furthermore, Friday, October 12, 2007 Rush Limbaugh put the Democrats original letter on ebay for auction. Click Here to see the actual ebay posting and current auction. All proceeds are to go to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. That's right folks, Mark Mays gave the original letter to Rush and he put it up on ebay for auction. The frosting on the cake to this story is that Rush Limbaugh put the Democrat signers of the letter on notice. He wants the Democrats to match the funds that are raised in the auction. Come on Rush, do you really think they will?

Number two on the Democrats talk radio hit list is Sean Hannity. Sean portrays himself very patriotic and begins almost every caller into the show as "you're a Great American". Also on Friday October 12, 2007, Sean had one of the Haditha Marines (Justin Sharratt) in studio for a conversation. You know the Haditha incident folks, we wrote about it here on Patriotic Thunder before most knew anything about it, Click Here to refresh yourself. It was also what Democrat Congressman John Murtha referred to our troops as "cold-blooded murders". Justin's father Darryl said on the radio they will be suing Congressman Murtha for defamation of character. Also in conversation, was that Justin Sharratt lives in the same congressional district as Congressman Murtha and will be running against him in the upcoming election. That's right folks, 23 year old patriotic USMC Justin Sharratt is going to take on Congressman Murtha and will most likely win. In making sure he does win, Sean Hannity offered his political services/influence and according to Sean "I will help you out in anyway I can in your campaign, Justin".

Hey folks, this is all good news and just for some unbelievable reason we know a little about patriotism. However, don't let your heart be troubled about Talk Radio, those fella's and ladies have broad shoulders and the persona to back each other up when the time comes. As for who's more Patriotic, unequivocally without a doubt shouldn't even be a question after reading what you just did. Once again, the Democrats try to act patriotic by attacking a patriotic civilian and misquoting him by doing a smear campaign and it back fires on them. I love it....Now with Justin running for Congressman against Murtha and having Sean Hannity to back him along the way it can only guarantee a win..... See ya later Murtha, you unpatriotic, corrupted chump. Oh was that to harsh....I don't think so, and I'll tell you why, a representative of the Young Republicans met with Congressman Murtha this past month to ask Murtha if he wanted to recant his accusations and comments. Guess What? Murtha stood by his remarks...what a joke. To think, their's people that actually voted for this political hack. Harry Reid, if you had one patriotic cell in your head, I could only hope that it would tell you what you truly are to the American people, a disgusting little rat known as a traitor.

I listen to Hannity, Rush, Boortz, and sometimes O'Reilly everyday. Personally I can't stand when Rush and Hannity go into their religious rants about abortion but I choose to overlook that. Why you ask? Because when it comes down to it, I get to hear the REAL news about what our Imperial federal government is doing behind our backs and the socialist issues that we are facing as a nation, especially if Hitlary gets her way. Rush makes me think and is a inspiration to a lot of my columns, I love Hannity's involvement with the troops and his support of them, Boortz is my overall favorite, with his quick wit and smart-ass tongue. If you get a chance folks, turn off your rap or classic rock for a few minutes in the day and listen to what is really going on behind the curtains of Government. I'll guarantee you won't hear anything more up to date and consequential of you being a individual.....guaranteed.
