Who really won the Election 2006?

The Libertarians did you idiot....

Well if you read my column last week and more prevalent my predictions, it's alright to call me an idiot, I deserve it.  The Democrats measured out there drapes for there new offices in the House of Representatives and the Senate House months in advance.  Some of you called it good planning, I called it foolish, and wow, wasn't I wrong.  As I seen this week, the Liberals have won one for there party (Democrat) and really put the Republicans in there corner scratching there head. 

Now lets take a closer look to see what really happened.  The Economy is awesome, Unemployment is at a record 4.4%, We haven't been hit by the terrorists again, and we are fighting the Islamic Fascists.  So, why did the Republicans lose? I can only feel so obliged to inform you.  It's called the Conservative reckoning, and what the hell does that mean Rob? I will tell you, what many of you may have missed while watching television this past Tuesday was usually the third candidate in many elections in your state.  But Rob, the third candidate didn't get many votes and who votes for a Libertarian?  That's a simple answer, Libertarian's do and according to the votes, so do a lot more conservatives.  The more far right conservatives took a look at what the current Republicans in office were doing and decided that being a Republican didn't mean you were a Reagan conservative anymore.  The Republican party for the last four years has been steadily and dramatically moving more moderate and less traditional and putting a blindfold over there eyes when they take a look at their conservative core values.  When you have conservatives screaming amongst all radio talk shows like Neal Boortz, Hannity, and  Rush Limbaugh about Illegal Aliens, Osama Bin Laden, FairTax Plan,  governmental over-spending, the wrath of Islam, and developing oil alternatives, the Republicans weren't listening.  In return, you got conservatives that stayed home and even more brave souls clicking on the Libertarian party candidate for there representation.  That's right folks, you want to blame someone, you can blame it on Libertarians for the Republicans not winning.

What you have in our current time, is the beginning of a new party that can't be taken granted for.  This isn't like the Reform Party or the Green Party, this Libertarian Party has a plan, and is raising their voter base exponentially in the last decade.  There plan is simple, literally, simple (smaller) government and the rights given back to the individuals.  For instance, The FairTax Plan (abolishes the IRS and the withholding tax all together), no amnesty for illegal immigrants, less government equals less spending, you get to decide how your future is going to be invested with Social Security.  All these ideas may seem very grand and too big for the ill-minded individual but, I must confess I've never met a stupid or mis-informed Libertarian. I've met stupid Republicans before, and well the Democrats just scream stupidity most of the time, but not one Libertarian.  If your a Libertarian, you've done your homework, you've read up, you at least know who is third in line for the Presidency and even might find her grotesque in appearance.  In saying all this, if the Republicans keep going down the same road as there going, you will keep getting more and more support for the Libertarian party and it will only make the Republican party suffer into becoming a former party.  So go ahead and blame them for the Republicans losing, just don't call them stupid.

Since the Republicans are now busy scratching there heads saying what the hell happened and have two years to do nothing (like the last two) don't you think they should sit down an reevaluate there plan, make a new agenda?  Of course they should, much like the Libertarian party, the Republican Party is the only other party that actually makes a agenda and sets some goals that don't have to do with destroying this nation from within.  Now if I was a Republican and gone through my five phases of acceptance that my ass just got a "thumpin'' (President Bush's words) I would sit down and make up a new agenda that included my current voting base and all those Reagan Conservatives that I lost in this election, before I got thumped in 2008. 

What I would like to see is that the Republicans sit down, get back to there Conservative core values and take some of those Libertarian ideas and put them on there platform for 2008.  I mean come on, I can't think of one person that likes our current tax system (-politicians), why not take on the Fair Tax Plan and run with it.  How about stopping the Mexican invasion by putting up a wall, maybe some land mines, keep in mind we didn't sign the kyote treaty, we can still do that.  An amnesty shouldn't even be in the subject of any American discussion, which part of "illegal" don't you all get about illegal immigrants? How about taking a oil company (U.S. owned) and introducing them to the area in Alaska that environmentalists have said we can't drill for oil because it would affect the porcupine reindeer from having sex and say hey, start drilling till we can get our ethanol refineries built.  Or, how about telling Pakistan and Afghanistan, were sorry for the intrusion but there is this little Islamic varmint we need to take out (Osama Bin Laden) and getting the damn job done finally.  For any medical care or social security issues, shall I say you go read up on the fair tax plan, it takes care of that for you as well.  Let's get with it Republicans, you did nothing the last two years and now you got an excuse for not doing anything for another two years.  Get off your ass and stop making government bigger and spending more money in doing so.  Another thing Republicans, when 2008 comes rolling around, you better damn well have your ducks in a row, and have some of the above on your agenda or you will just keep pushing more and more conservatives over to a party that keeps looking better everyday, The Libertarians. 

Now I've already heard the pissing and moaning from the Republicans and the pointing, laughing, told you so Far Left Liberals calling me an idiot.  But what you far left liberals and democrats fail to realize is, you will self-destruct yourselves. I know your kind better than you do, you liberals are all part of the Hippie generation that sat around and did drugs and came up with these whacked out ideas.  Now your just a Hippie dressed in a suit and don't do as many drugs but still keep coming up with these whacked out undermining ideas. Don't forget,  Liberals are known for saying the most stupidest stuff that anyone can mutter out someone's mouth and I will be sitting here relaxing writing about it all.  For me, I may be the idiot this week, but you just became the idiot for the next two years.  And let me tell you, I'm going to have so much fun writing about you and how you got voted into office and how your undermining this country, one bill, one special investigation, one impeachment hearing at a time. See I don't mind being a idiot for a week, because you have just filled my shoes and more for the next two years and trust me, we will not miss one thing.  Patriotic Thunder awaits you....
